victorian bathing costumes photo
This picture was in Uncle Jack's family albulm, the two ladies are sitting on the steps of a bathing machine, possibly the one on the right is Nan's mum Charlotte Naomi Jelley nee Roberts, she has similar features to the photo we have of her taken with John Jelley in uniform circa 1917
World war one soldiers
This picture was amongst uncle Jack Saggers collection,I have included it in case anyone recognises any of the men in the picture, any help appreciated
Jack Jelley
This is our Nan's brother Jack,(John Jelley) this picture was taken in world war two,he also joined up in world war one whilst under age he had just finished basic training when they realised he was only fourteen and he was sent home
Frederick William John Saggers
I received this email and this lovely photograph of the brother of our Great Grandfather as I have mentioned before they somewhat oddly both had the first name Frederick
Hi there.
Hi there.
My great grandfather was Frederick William John Saggers, the elder brother of your great grandfather Frederick Arthur Saggers, both sons of Henry (Harry) Saggers, so we are 3rd cousins. My father told me that Frederick William John was known as Fred, and Frederick Arthur as Arthur.
I’ve attached my only photo of Fred, from around 1891 or 92 when he was about 18. Unfortunately, there’s a big difference in ages between this photo and your one of Arthur (which I guess is early 1930s?), so that it’s hard to see any resemblance.
Have you got any further back in tracing their Saggers ancestors? I have reached our great x5 grandfather Thomas Saggers, who married Grace Taylor in 1774 but I’m stuck there. I’d love to know if you’ve got further!
Regards
Tony Saggers

Aunty Betty's wedding picture
Last weekend my sister Janet had a small get together at her house and Lyn kindly brought her photo albums along and all of these that I am putting on this week are from her collection,we simply photographed them instead of having to try and scan them , which can be quite awkward when they are glued in an album, they have come out better than the ones we have previously scanned, this picture was posted by me and Lyn last year and was a bit obscure but as you can see this one is spot on,I can recognise some of the family but a full list would be useful.
If you click on the picture it will enlarge it and as it is quite a long picture you will need to use the slide bar at the bottom to see the right hand side of the picture

Tommy and Johnny
Nan,Grandad ,mum,Aunty Rose,Aunty Bet and I think that's Uncle Bert behind Nan,I don't recognise the couble with the baby behind,it look's like they were with them, perhap's Aunty Bet will ;
Johnny sent this comment : Hi everybody
Tom and I were sitting on the wall at the end of the garden in St Martins Road with granddads dog "Spud".
In the other picture I think the couple at the back might be Mum, and Dad with a dodgy expression on his face. Bearing in mind how much older she was than Betty it could easily be her. If it is, then the baby is Tom, who was only 4 years younger than Bet.

Aunty Betty's 80th birthday party
We all thoroughly enjoyed spending some time together at Betty's birthday party it was a really special evening, many thanks to all of Betty's children, their partners and grandchildren for their hard work in organising it all.
As you can see there was too many of us to squeeze in to one picture on our camera, hopefully one of the other photos took managed to get all of us in.
